Any Day
Baby is coming any day now. A few who know me well ask if I'm "nesting" yet. Very tricky question since I usually clean that way- in sudden spurts especially if I think company could be coming over. So on days that I think "Baby Day?" is the day I clean really well. Not just vacuum, dishes and bathroom- but company-may-be-checking-this-hall-closet-if-they-get-a-paper-cut-while-they-are-visiting clean.
One of my beautiful sisters-in-law is due about the same time I am (plus or minus the two weeks that all midwives/doctors give you) and it'd be really neat if our babies shared a birthday. The only thing is, I would rather not go the two weeks overdue to meet her two weeks early baby!! Ah well, another reason to surrender to God's Will and not my own.
Psalm 18:30 says, "As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him."
What better time to mull over these words! I doubt many of you are expecting a baby as I am: but there are certainly other things that you are waiting on (see last blog entry). The important thing is when we remember God's way is perfect and hold fast to the Word of the Lord, He will keep us steady in these trials great and small and our anxiety and stress will disappear.
